The organizers of the Calabar Carnival have officially launched the volunteer registration program, opening the doors for passionate individuals who want to contribute to Africa’s biggest street party. The announcement has sparked excitement among students, professionals, and community members eager to play a role in the smooth execution of this year’s festivities.
Volunteers will be assigned to a variety of departments, including crowd coordination, information support, hospitality, logistics, media assistance, safety monitoring, and backstage operations. According to the organizing committee, the program is designed not only to support festival operations but also to offer participants valuable hands-on experience in event management, tourism, and cultural promotion.
Registration is open both online and at designated physical centers across Calabar, making it convenient for locals and visitors alike to sign up. Successful applicants will undergo orientation and training sessions to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities during the carnival period.
As preparations intensify, the launch of the volunteer registration marks a major milestone in the countdown to the festival. With dedicated volunteers on board, organizers are confident that this year’s carnival will deliver an even more seamless, vibrant, and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
